Would it be a cliche to say Oscar Udeshi is the “thinking man’s” menswear designer? A student of philosophy, experienced traveller with a savvy business brain, Udeshi is an impressive guy. His style is classic, bold and authorative. His travel experiences paint him as a risk-taking thrill seeker, but how does this inform his work? I spoke to Oscar recently to get a feel for what inspires him.

This is interesting. A company called Unique Wedding Memories have come up with a “wedding reportage” concept. They are offering a boutique journalistic service to completment the traditional wedding day package of photographs and albums.
I think this is actually a wonderful idea. It offers a new dimension to the wedding services offering and certainly fills a niche. Charles Michum, co-founder of the company explained the concept:
“Wedding albums are fine as a place to store photos, but what about the vows, the speech and the well-wishes from guests? Our speciality is books and we...

Anoesjcka de’Lorenzo is the face of – and brains behind – AG Bespoke Couture, London’s coolest tailor. South African born, Anoesjcka learned how to cut cloth in Italy, under the guidance of a certain Mr. Armani. She spends the working day in her Covent Garden studio.
In the first of a regular series, Style and Travel Magazine will be grilling some well travelled individuals about their travel habits. Farmer’s cooperatives, sustainable fishing initiatives and a steadfast refusal to floodlight new hotels point to a promising future for one of the naughtiest cities on Earth.
The note in the hotel bathroom compelling you to conserve water looks out of place in Las Vegas. Sin City may be many things, but I hadn’t reckoned on environmentally conscious being one of them. I’d gone there to eat and gamble.
Take The Bellagio, a hotel famous for its fountains. These fountains, set in nine acres of man-made lake, featuring 1,200 nozzles, 4,500 lights and capable of sending water 460ft in to...

Situated beyond the South end of The Strip, close to the upscale Southern Highlands neighbourhood, M Resort offers a refreshingly understated take on the typical Las Vegas experience. Eschewing the Sin City prosaic of up-lighting, flickering neon and facade attractions – it instead opts for a study in refinement, sultry texture and sustainable elegance.
Launched in March 2009, the development benefits as much from its location on the edge of the Mojave Desert as it does from its relative proximity to The Strip – combining dramatic mountain vistas and desert tranquility, it makes the once...

On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, just off Maddison Avenue, exists one of a rare breed of hotels – a well known hidden gem. An oxymoronic attempt at conveying the aura of this hotel I know, but it really is ‘home’ to an elite of well travelled individuals. It doesn’t lack in status, but doesn’t boast either. This landmark hotel is as sexy and elegant a property you’re likely to find in Manhattan – bursting with character and a unique identity.
Benefiting from its characterful, dashing appointment inside and its location equally – it’s the...
